Tsugiko Kubo was born in Kanagawa, Japan. After an acting career with the Mingei Theater Company, Kubo started writing children’s books. Her books include Juky 6th, Sunny Then Quarrel, Haruka-chan’s Haruka Day, and You Would Not Have Forgotten.
