The Children of War – The Forum of the Fellowship for the Nation’s Sons and Daughters (Forum Silaturahmi Anak Bangsa)

The children of war are over, now we are the children of peace. No more blaming each other, no more winning and losing. Stop inheriting conflict and not creating new conflict. That is a determination, not a slogan.

Various conflict events in Indonesia after independence due to ideological conflicts, have left deep wounds for decades in the hearts of children whose parents were involved in the conflict. Feelings of humiliation, revenge, hatred, fear, tighten the chest of each individual. Some experience psychological trauma: “Who killed my father?” On the other hand: “should my parents have masterminded the murder?”

Through a winding path, finally the children and grandchildren of the victims of the conflict agreed to form the Children of the Nation Silaturahmi Forum (FSAB). They sat at the same table and talked about peace. Delivered directly by the sons and daughters of figures who were once caught in the vortex of bloody history.
